You do not have to travel all the way to China to learn Chinese language and culture
and interact with newChinese friends. They are coming from China this summer
to RTP to meet us, learn our language and experiencethe art and food of Cary.
This two-week Chinese American Bilingual Program is initiated by
RTP International Cultural Exchange Co. LLC ,and organized by Hopewell Academy.
Camp Dates The program will take place two sessions: (8:00 am - 5:30 pm, lunch included).
You may sign up for one or both sessions.

How the Program Works
In this uniquely designed program, the Chinese students learn both English
and the American Culture. At the same time, the American students can learn
Chinese Language and Cultural Arts. Certified teachers fromChina escorting
the Chinese students will offer American students Chinese Language and Culture.
In otherlearning and activities, students from both groups will mix together to
build up friendship and to learn fromeach other during field trips and other outings.
Local campers will be assigned to different classes based on their Chinese language
level to learn and improvetheir Chinese.
This two-week Chinese American bilingual exchange program offers:

--FREE CAMP if your family hosts visiting Chinese students
Camp Cost Registration Fee: $50. Camp Fee: $300 per week.Lunch and Field Trip transportation included in all session.
Lunch is a cultural exchange opportunity for everyone. Some days areclassically
American lunches such as hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches,pizza, and chicken.
Some days are classically Asian such as wheneveryone makes homemade dumplings
and shares a greatAsian Buffet meal on campus.
As a very important part of the two-week camp, Chinese students will stay with
host families. The host family stay resulted in some of the most invaluableexperiences
for the Chinese students who attended previous camps. They gainedmuch more
insight and appreciation for the American culture. By becoming a paid host family,
you can experience the pleasure of offering hospitality and open your family's minds to the wider world. Your child will enjoy a FREE CAMP!
-- For a family hosting 1 student who also has a child attending the camp, this child
can get one week tuition free plus $150 compensation.
-- For a family hosting 2 students who also has a child attending the camp, this child
will get tuition free for two weeks plus $300 compensation ($150 per student hosted).
-- For families with NO child attending the camp but would like to host, we will compensate
the family $400 per student hosted.
